World premiere: the new driven Broaching Unit WTO presented in cooperation with Paul Horn GmbH its world premiere: a new driven Broaching Unit for economical manufacturing of oriented keyways, chamfers, hexagon sockets and splines. The new driven Broaching Unit enables state of the art manufacturing of complete parts on CNC turning centers. Suitable insert holders for the new WTO Broaching Unit have been displayed at the EMO by Paul Horn GmbH. Another point of interest at the WTO’s booth was the large QuickFlex® presentation area. Numerous visitors used the opportunity to learn the advantages of the innovative QuickFlex® system. WTO presented at EMO also its new QuickFlex® toolholder program for DMG/Mori Seiki turning centers with Trifix® turrets. Visitors could realize the advantages of the WTO toolholders for Trifix® turrets with its high accuracy and in combination with the easy tool change using QuickFlex® adapters. |
WTO displayed several new products and innovations to a large number of interested visitors. Beside the new Broaching Unit and QuickFlex® more new products have been presented:
- a patent applied toolholder interface with extreme high accuracy (position and repeatability) for turrets with BMT interface
- new toolholder programs for the worldwide most popular quick change system Coromant Capto® which is now also available for Trifix® turrets
- new short adapter program without gripper grove for driven toolholders with Coromant Capto®
- new driven toolholder programs for Swiss Type turning centers, including an innovative Thread Whirling unit
- new Hobbing units for manufacturing gears on turning centers
- new static and driven multiple position toolholders for turning centers with Y axis
Like in the last years several turning centers of leading manufactures
were equipped with precision toolholders from WTO. “Leading manufacturers are using leading technology”, stated Sascha Tschiggfrei (President).
Accuway’s most popular selling lathe UT-300 was using QuickFlex® precision toolholders on its new BMT turret for machining a complex work piece.
The Alex-Tech Viper VT-23 MC was equipped with “Performance Series®” driven precisiontoolholders from WTO for high cutting performance.
QuickFlex® at its best demonstrated on the new DMG/Mori Seiki NLX 2500 | 700 with its innovative machine design and “Celos®” control as one of the world premieres presented in the DMG/Mori Seiki hall.
Minimal investment by simply clamping the cutting tool directly in the QuickFlex® toolholder using a standard ER collet and maximal expandability by adding the quick change function for reducingtool change time using QuickFlex® adapters.

A high light for visitors at the EMCO booth was a new version of the Maxxturn 65 with the new high speed BMT turret rated with 12,000 RPM and equipped with QuickFlex® driven precisiontoolholders from WTO.
The Focus FNL 250 SY was equipped with WTO’s Performance Series® precision toolholdersdemonstrating high rigidity.
A high light for visitors at the Goodway booth was a new high-speed CNC turning center GLS 2000 LSY with Y axis which was equipped with QuickFlex® driven precision toolholders fromWTO.
A good view on the WTO large product range of driven toolholders for Swiss Type Turning Centerswas possible at the new Maier MLK 32 Hybrid.

The new Nexturn SA 20 XII was equipped with WTO driven toolholders for Swiss Type TurningCenters.
Okuma’s latest version of the popular LB 3000 EXII turning center model was equipped with QuickFlex® precision toolholders for machining of a complex work piece including gear hobbing.
Impressive to see on a CNC multi-spindle automatic lathe out of the Schütte SCX series: a SC9-46 with sub spindle equipped with static (Coromant Capto® system) and driven precisiontoolholders from WTO.
On a Schuster VD 20 WTO’s WT System demonstrated as a modular quick change system the ability to reduce the set-up time remarkably.
The Victor Vturn A26Y displayed with the new BMT turret was equipped with WTO “Performance Series® driven precision toolholders showing the high rigidity of this machine concept.
Laerte Fernandez, President of TF2, WTO’s distribution partner for Brazil and Daniel Sierra, WTO Sales Director, visited at FEIMAFE leading machine tool manufacturers which have equipped their machines with WTO precision toolholders.

WTO exhibited at IMTEX 2013 in Bangalore their innovative and technically well-engineered precision live tool holders for Turn-Mill Centers - Made in Germany - to a large number of interested visitors.
All leading machine tool manufacturers equipped their Turn-Mill Centers with precision toolholders from WTO showing their advanced technology to the visitors.

WTO launched its new quick change system “QuickFlex®” and strengthens its leading position in the US market.
The interest in this innovative product exceeded the expectations.
WTO displayed on their 900 square feet booth several new products and innovations to a large number of interested visitors. Beside the new QuickFlex® following new products have been presented:
- a new patent applied tooholder interface with extreme high accuracy (repeatability) for turrets with BMT interface.
- new hobbing units for manufacturing gears on turning centers
- multiple toolholders to multiply the available tools on turning centers with Y axis
- new driven toolholder programs for Swiss Type turning centers, including a newly developed innovative Thread Whirling unit
Like in the last years different turning centers of leading machine tool manufactures (DMG/MORI SEIKI, EMCO, GOODWAY, HYUNDAI WIA, MAZAK, OKUMA, TONGTAI, YCM, etc.) were equipped with WTO toolholders. “Leading manufacturers using leading technology”, stated Allen D. A DMG Mori Seiki NLX4000Y was equipped with several right angle drill/milling units.

The L300MSC was equipped with QuickFlex® precision toolholders on the BMT turret for machining of a cylinder: a right angle drill/milling unit with an ER collet and straight drill/milling units where one is equipped with a collet chuck adapter.
A Mazak Quick Turn Smart 100M S was equipped on the BMT turret with driven QuickFlex®precision toolholders for machining of a delicate work piece: right angle drill/milling units for standard ER 32 collets and ER 32 adapters.
An Okuma Space Turn LB3000 EX was equipped with driven precision toolholders from WTO: OD drill/milling unit, double, Y axis, Y axis offset +/- 28 mm.
A Tongtai Topper TNL-100TLSB was equipped with driven precision toolholders from WTO: Face drill/milling units for ER collet.
Also a YCM TC 46M 1650 demonstrated the benefits of QuickFlex® driven precision toolholders: straight drill/milling units where two were equipped with ER collet and one with a combination arbor adapter.
